South Carolina Educators Share Their Personalized Learning Journeys
The SCDE Office of Personalized Learning is excited to share the stories of South Carolina educators and their journey to personalize learning. We know that this innovative work is critical to ensuring that all students achieve the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. We share these stories in the hopes that it will help educators across the state and beyond to learn from and be inspired by each other. About Us
Personalized learning is an educational framework that supports all students as they seek to achieve the knowledge, skills, and characteristics identified in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. By fostering student ownership of learning, developing learner profiles and learning pathways and adopting flexible learning environments, each student’s education experience is tailored to meet his or her unique strengths, needs, and goals.
The Office of Personalized Learning was created to offer support to schools and districts as they make the shift to personalized learning and competency-based education. Together we can support all students in attaining the world class knowledge, world class skills, and life and career characteristics, identified in the Profile of the Graduate.
